| Reading: Joe
Green at Pierre Menard Gallery |
An outstanding poet, Joe Green is one of Fulcrum’s
most prolific contributors. His poems have also been published
in Rattapallax, Perihelion and other journals,
and translated into Russian. He is the author of THE DARK
BARK: POEMS AND SONG OF RIN TIN TIN and THE DIAMOND AT
THE END OF TIME: POEMS OF THE LONELIEST RANGER, both published
by Owl Oak Press. Curator of the Jeunesse Doree, he resides in
St. Paul, Minnesota, where he recently translated all of Homer
into limericks.

Leon, German and Sturgeon |
Poets Jim Behrle, Jon Leon, Zachary German and Stephen Sturgeon
will read from their new work in Brooklyn, NY, at 8 pm on Saturday
July 19th. The reading will take place at Space Space (390 Seneca
Ave, 1st Floor). Please note that the entrance to this venue is
on Stanhope.

| Barraclough
and Sturgeon at Pierre Menard |
Simon Barraclough and Stephen Sturgeon will be reading from their
latest work on Sunday, May 11, 2008.
Simon Barraclough was born in Huddersfield, Yorkshire but has
lived in London for 11 years. He won the poetry section of the
London Writers’ Competition in 2000 and has been published
widely in magazines such as Poetry Review, The Manhattan
Review, Time Out, and Magma. His work has
also been broadcast several times on BBC Radio 4 and Radio 3.
His debut collection Los Alamos Mon Amour was published
by Salt in April 2008 and has already been noted by Sarah Crown
of The Guardian as one of the poetry books to look out
for this year. He also appeared in The Times’ list
of ‘Top Ten Literary Stars of 2008’.
Stephen Sturgeon's poems have appeared in Boston Review,
Fulcrum: an Annual of Poetry and Aesthetics, Harvard
Review, and Jacket, among other journals. He was
recently named Editor of Fulcrum.
The reading will begin at 6 pm at the Pierre Menard Gallery,
located at 10 Arrow Street in Harvard Square (up Arrow Street
from the Cafe Pamplona). Admission is free and a reception will
follow.

in the Blacksmith House series |
In
this latest installment of the 35-years-strong series
founded by Gail Mazur, Fulcrum co-founder Katia Kapovich
will be reading from her new collection, Cossacks
and Bandits. G.C. Waldrep will read from his
new collection, Disclamor. The reading will start at
8:00 PM on Monday, March 10, 2008, at 56 Brattle Street, Cambridge;
tickets may be purchased for $3 at the door, beginning 45 minutes
prior.
